Foot Measuring Guide

Ordering footwear online is not always easy. To help you find the right size, we've added some instructions below. This quick guide will help you find your size, saving time, money, and helping the environment.

How to measure your feet

Trace the soles of your feet.

  • Place a piece of paper against a wall.
  • Stand with your full weight on the paper, with your heel touching the wall.
  • Trace both feet on paper. You can also ask a friend to help you.

Measure the longest point of your feet using a ruler or tape measure.

  • Measure the length of each foot in millimeters from the heel to the longest toe.
  • The longest point may be your big toe or another toe.
  • Next, add approximately 7 mm to the measurement you have.
    • For sandals, add only 2-4 mm.
    • Add up to 10 mm if you plan to wear wool socks.
  • Compare this measurement with the "Inner shoe length" listed in the product details. Note that lengths vary by shoe.

For example, the length of the right foot is 238 mm and the left foot is 240 mm. Add 5 mm based on the larger foot, total 245 mm. Choose size 37 from the AAVA ankle boots (inside length in AAVA size 37 is 243 mm).

Note that Pomar's footwear runs slightly larger compared to European shoes. There is more room for the heel and toes. If a wide last is indicated in the product, the shoe has extra space. More about the fit range here.

Most Pomar shoes have a removable insole, which can be replaced with a thinner or thicker one if needed. This is how you get more or less space.
