Pomarfin is the first and only Finnish shoe manufacturer to receive the GORE-TEX® license in 1994. W.L. Gore Ltd. audits its licensees annually, and in 2012 we received the highest quality rating ever awarded to a GORE-TEX® licensee.

WHAT IS GORE-TEX®?

GORE-TEX® is a microporous membrane laminated to the lining of a shoe. The membrane prevents water from entering from outside while transporting water vapor from inside the shoe outwards. The seams and sole of a shoe are also sealed against water. These are great advantages in everyday life; with Pomar shoes featuring GORE-TEX®, you can enjoy any weather and season with dry and comfortable feet!

GORE-TEX® 100% WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE

Pomar shoes made with technical GORE-TEX® lining are guaranteed 100% waterproof and breathable. This ensures that no water penetrates while sweat and moisture can escape. This means your feet feel comfortable inside the shoe while being protected from the elements outside.

GORE-TEX® ePE  

Pomar is one of the first shoe manufacturers to use the new GORE-TEX® membrane made from expanded polyethylene (ePE).

By using a new membrane with lower mass and selected textiles, the new GORE-TEX products enable a reduced CO2 footprint (assessed according to the Higg Materials Sustainability Index)
