Pull-up leather

Leather That Lives With You

Shows the Marks of Life

Our pull-up leather is soft, supple and waxed by hand. Comfortable from the first wear, it quickly begins to develop its own character. Every mark, crease and scratch adds depth to the surface. It is a material that truly comes into its own through use, developing a rich, individual patina that makes every pair uniquely yours.

Beautifully Imperfect

The appeal of pull-up leather lies in its natural variations and the traces of life it gathers along the way. Changes in colour, lighter areas and surface marks are all part of its character, it becomes more personal the more you wear it. If you're looking for perfectly uniform leather, pull-up may not be the right choice for you.

Layered patina

The patina of pull-up leather evolves with wear, developing a deeper, richer character over time. Natural variations in colour, creases and surface marks add depth and texture to the leather. Suitable care products nourish the leather, enrich its colour and soften the appearance of marks. Every wear adds another layer of character.

After two weeks of wearing.

Finished by hand.

Every pair is waxed by hand in our factory, bringing out the leather’s individual character. Colour, tone and surface appearance vary naturally, so no two pairs are identical and yours may look slightly different from the product images.

Light marks can also appear during handling, packaging and transport. These are part of the waxed surface’s character, the first traces of a patina that you will make your own.

Character worth caring for

Our pull-up leather is waxed by hand at our factory, giving each pair its own tone, texture and character. Its unpainted, scratch-sensitive surface develops a distinctive vintage patina quickly with wear. This natural ageing process is part of the intended look of the leather.

  1. Start by inserting shoe trees.
  2. Gently use a shoe brush to remove dirt.
  3. Wipe the shoes with a damp cloth to remove dust.
  4. Alternatively, apply Collonil Organic Cleaning solution.
  5. Thoroughly spray Organic Cleaner on to the shoes, allowing the surface material to become damp.
  6. Allow to sit for a moment and then gently brush to remove additional dirt and maintain the leather's texture.
  7. Next, apply Collonil Organic Protect spray. Always apply the spray to clean, dry shoes. This spray contains nourishing sunflower wax which maintains the materials softness whilst providing excellent protection against moisture and dirt.
  8. Terracare® leather can also be treated with Collonil dubbin, which contains beeswax to nourish and protect the leather. The grease helps to minimise marks and scratches.

Pull-up leather is scratch sensitive. We advise against using rubber sole shoe grips / spikes with pull-up leather shoes, as the rubber will leave marks on the leather's surface.
